Point Pleasant, W.Va. – (December 26, 2019) – In August, Fruth Pharmacy held a photo event contest on Facebook to find the “Top Dog” and help raise funds for local law enforcement officers and their K9 units. This was the first year the contest was held.
Fruth Pharmacy would like to introduce the winner of the photography contest, Hammer Isaiah.
On Facebook, Hammer Isaiah’s photo won, with over 80 votes at time of voting closure. Hammer is a 1-year old Boston Terrier belonging to Megan Dunfee of Point Pleasant, WV.
Hammer won a special photography package and a $100 Fruth Gift Card for being named “Top Dog”.
Hammer’s photos will be used throughout the year as he helps advertise pet products and services available for Fruth Pharmacy customers.
For the photo contest, dog owners could submit any number of entries for a $5 donation to their local K9 unit. (Each photo was counted as a separate entry.) Photos were posted on Facebook and the dog’s photo with the most likes was named “Top Dog”. Over 130 entries were received. A kid’s electric car was also raffled to raise funds and Fruth held a special shopping day where 10% of pet product sales would go to K9 units.
Over $2,500 was raised. Fruth Pharmacy in Mineral Wells helped raise $970 of those dollars to get their local K9, Ogi, a vest.
Fruth Pharmacy and Fruth General Store is owned by the Fruth family. There are 31 locations in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.
