Patty Holley Retires from Fruth Pharmacy

Point Pleasant, W.Va. – (May 7, 2021) – Patty Holley officially retired from Fruth Pharmacy on Friday, April 30th, 2021.  Patty worked for Fruth Pharmacy for 32 years.  Her official hire date was March 12th, 1989.

“I was working at Big Lots and they came and asked me if I wanted a full-time job,” Patty shared about how she began her career at Fruth Pharmacy.

“I worked for both Big Lots and Fruth for 3 months.  I would work at Big Lots from 6 am to 8 am then I would go to Fruth and work 9 am to 5 pm, then back to Big Lots and work from 6 pm until 10 pm,” Patty explained.

Patty enjoyed learning all aspects of her job and the company during her time at Fruth.  She also enjoyed being able to share her experience and help teach others.  She was pleased to move up into the company and serve as a manager.

“I’ve made many great friends over the years,” Patty stated, “I had a lot of fun while we all worked together. The golf outing was hard work but so much fun.  I loved it all.”

Patty will miss her co-workers and the special customers who became friends at each store she has worked.

Patty plans to do some things around her house and travel.  Later, she may cater – she loves to cook!

“When Fruth had family and friend functions, my family loved being there and supporting me.  They loved watching how we all worked together to make the event fun for all,” Patty reminisced.

“Paula (Williams), my coworker, friend, and my boss, made my last day so special,” Patty exclaimed, “She surprised me on my last day of work.  I want to thank everyone who sent me a note, card, gave me a phone call, or came to see me on my last day.  It was the best day – sad and happy at the same time.  The day before, the employees at the store also made my retirement special.  TEARS BOTH DAYS!  I want to say thank you again to all of them for making my last days so special,” Patty finished.

Fruth Pharmacy wishes Patty a Happy Retirement!
